Join Us in Supporting a Refugee Family
Our Karen family arrives on March 10 and we have been very busy preparing for their arrival. Thur Dy, Klu Taw, Naw Thay Su and Naw Eh Su will have traveled from the Mae Ra Ma Luang Camp in Thailand to Bangkok, New York and Chicago to St. Paul. Many thanks to the congregation for the donation of material goods for their apartment in St. Paul.
We had a wonderful Karen Cultural Orientation at our church on March 6 led my the McVay Youth Partnership Hamline team that works with the after-school program at our church three days a week. One of the leaders is Karen and she shared her personal experience and helped us understand the Karen culture, traditions and perspective. You are invited to download the slides from her presentation.
