Rally "Sundae" - September 12

We know you are in denial about the end of summer, but let's celebrate the return of the regular rhythm of activities on Rally Sunday, September 12.  We have a dynamic set of Ministry “action” Teams here at AHUMC, and we'd like you to get to know who they are and what they do.  Here's how.  Right after church that Sunday, we'll move into the Fellowship Hall for ice cream with all the toppings.  But to get the toppings, we're going to ask you to visit each team's table.  At the various tables we plan to have chocolate to nuts and everything you can imagine on ice cream (except the pickled herring).  Hope to see you there.

FOR MINISTRY TEAM LEADERS: if you want to have the hip and cool toppings to dish out at your table, you'll have to sign up.  Look to the cookie table in the narthex after services on 9/5.  We'll have the signup list; you choose your topping, first come, first served.  You'll get more interest if you have the fudge sauce rather than the sauerkraut!

Sunshine Preschool

Sunshine Preschool still has openings for its Tuesday-Thursday class beginning the fall of 2010. If you are a family with a preschool age little one or know a family that has a preschool age child please contact Cindy in the church office for more information. To learn more about the program visit the Sunshine Preschool page.

Fall Adult Education Classes

The Spiritual Development/Education Ministry Team is offering two short term classes this fall. "The Way of Prayer" and "The Way of Blessedness." 2011 Winter Weekend

February 18-21, 2011 – Are you ready to think Snow! Yes, we are already making plans for the 2011 Winter Weekend at Camp DuNord in Ely, MN. It's a wonderful weekend of fellowship, great food, and plenty of fun outdoors (cross-country skiing, hiking, sledding, snowshoeing) and indoors (board games, reading, singing, eating). For more information and to indicate your interest, please see Kaye Olson or stop by the Welcome Center. We need to have a good estimate of how many people will be going by September 10 to make lodging reservations.
